I have a simple statement, one that I want to spread loud and wide. We have argued with facts. We have presented clear, logical, scientific data. We have shown there will be no winners if the clear-cutting in the Castle goes ahead. No one stands to make money. No jobs will be created. Certainly no plants, animals or waterways will be improved or protected. No one who comes here to recreate winter skiing or summer camping, spring fishing, or fall hiking will see an improvement in their landscape. No international tourist will be awed by the stumps. No local business will profit from the destroying of the forest. And do not forget Crown Land means it is our land. But bullies are ignoring our call to stop the logging. Our politicians are, up to now, deaf to our rational arguments. So here is my message, a message I want to become yours too. We are the hopeful: We stand for the trees Please repeat this message like a mantra. Put a sign in your car window, your house. Put a sign on your dog. Take pictures of you taking your sign out for coffee, for a walk, to work. Put these pictures on you-tube, twitter daily ‘We are the hopeful. We stand for the trees.’ Send this message to Premier Redford so loudly that she understands with certainty election results will be based on her promise to STOP the logging in the Crown of the Continent.
